Just finished it.

Lots of nostalgia, a little anticlimactic.

Swegin:mjcry::mjcry::mjcry::mjcry:

I like the way it was filmed

Instead of a movie I think they should've done a mini series or one last season, they had enough material to stretch it out

Overall the movie was really good but it was kinda hard to watch Swearengen dying :mjcry:

He might be the goat tv character

It's truly one of HBO's best shows..in the same class as Sopranos, The Wire, and the earlier seasons of GoT...but was cancelled one, maybe 2 seasons too short. Black characters appear later on the series, but never really go any bigger than being secondary characters. The director, David Milch, has always had a bad habit of introducing compelling characters on the fly that never really go anywhere.

Ian McShane's performance as Swearengen is a top 3 TV performance of all time, in my opinion.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven

It can be forgiven in this case cause the black dude is a real person. The stories about him, and a lot of others, are straight out of the real Deadwood newspapers from the time. This is a lot of true stories in here... Some faked of course though. But the movie opens him up more as well
