Al had so many etherous lines but the funniest line in the show to me was when Cy Tolliver told the prostitute "Ok it's time for you to shut the fukk up and go to sleep" after she said she prays for him. :russ: :dead:

:russ:

When that fat hooker that Al fukks all time walked by, he was all like "you just know she has fukked for food". :deadmanny:

Or
" I like curves, but that doesn't mean you can't drop a few pounds". :dead:

He was the original founder of the Hard on Fat Hoes Movement. :win:

Man Al Swearagen's pimp hand was strong. Remember that monologue when he's berating the chubby girl giving him head, and at the same time he's talking about his past when he was a kid, after he got his fingers cut off. That scene was strong as hell. AL SWEARAGEN had me :whew: :to::ohlawd: at the same time during that scene.

One of the greatest shows of all time. People bring up Swearengen all the time like he owned the show but the true power IMO was how deep and perfectly tuned the cast of characters was. Each and every one of them fulfilled a specific purpose and they all interacted with each other. There were like 15 principal characters on top of all the recurring side characters, and they all knew each other and acknowledge each other. The density really made Deadwood feel like a real place. I mean, I know it was a real place but they got that vibe on screen perfectly!

I love how deadwood inverts the western stereotypes. Most westerns give you a wild land that needs to be tamed by a heroic male. White hate, fast gun, good heart. Through his willpower and force the community finds peace. Deadwood suggests that maybe the west needs an Odysseus as well as an Achilles. And that if Odysseus was in the west he would probably be running a whore house and saloon.

Tom Nuttall had some decent moments too as far as a supporting character goes. With that damn bicycle especially.
And I use this quote in my real life:

I personally like the throw away stuff, like when Swearengen is looking at that cerebral palsy gimpy chick climbing the stairs and he is all like "Every step an adventure".

:russ:
It's funny because at one point she flips that shyt back on him.

In S2 after Al had his fight with Bullock and his kidney stones problem Doc mentions that he suffered a partial stroke. Al has trouble with the right side limbs. So when he meets Cy Tolliver he is limping.

Cy: You're moving a little rheumatic young man!
Jewel: He's always dragging that fukking leg!:lolbron:
Cy: :dwillhuh:

Yeah that was one of my favorite scenes in the whole show, and the best blowjob soliloquy.

"I did not shame myself! Kid yourself about your behavior and you'll never learn a fukking thing." - best Al Swearengen nugget of wisdom.:wow:
