That Deadpool's an annoying fakkit (Jar Jar Binks of Marvel) with zero characterization.

He was never not a funny character and at no point was he a moping sad sack who wanted to be Cap, he was more just a tragic character who had horrible luck and had everything stacked against him (including his own waning sanity), but persevered anyway.
you clearly wasnt lookin at them new Avengers books :beli:

I didn't read it, and that doesn't sound like the old school Deadpool. Old Deadpool wouldn't give a fukk (didn't care about validation from other heroes/antiheroes/villains).
Who's writing this shyt :mindblown:?! They've been killing this character with fakkitry for a minute :francis:.

Classic Deadpool has more depth and variety than the movie version. Traditionally, he's actually a very depressed, sociopathic guy with anger issues who wants to become a better person/legit hero, but can't get out of his own way. There's lots of directions they can go.

But Deadpool didn't become a phenomenon until the Cable & Deadpool series. That ish read like a buddy cop film with Cable being the grumpy straight-laced partner, and Deadpool being the wildcard.

I think there was enough depth in the character in the first movie to continue in that direction. Remember, it was a love story. The sequel will be better if they keep the formula, however give him Cable to play off of. I'd prefer that they'd have Vanessa end up being Copycat, but assuming the looks of Domino, in which they bring back Morena as the real Domino, with the love triangle Cable-Deadpool-Dom with some absurd mission.

Deadpool has for most of his existence been a sad sack. Whether for his face, the fact that people die around him, or that he feels he's unworthy of friendship, that shyt weighs heavily on him.

Being depressed and being a moping p*ssy are two different things. The Joe Kelly Deadpool wouldn't grovel for another man (Cap's) approval :scust:. He was more like a self-destructive jerk who felt sorry for himself.

That's the Deadpool I want in the film, I'm just worried that there will be too much comedy, and not enough adventure/drama since they canned Miller.

Yeah, but with Deadpool these things aren't mutually exclusive. He's uniquely funny as shyt in a dark drama context, which can work well on the big screen. If the sequel is another pure comedy with very little plot/character development then the series is doomed to fail. Deadpool does not need to brood or be at his absolute darkest, but the film needs to go somewhere past just wacky humor and violence. Reveal that Vanessa (Copycat) is a mutant, and explore Deadpool's feelings towards that, explore him coming to grips with being a scumbag in some capacity. You don't need to be ultra serious to do these things.

I hear what ya saying bruh, but let's keep it 100... Do YOU trust Fox to pull that off correctly??

Because I don't. These nikkas couldn't even get the X-Men right, they got lucky with Deadpool, let's not fukk up the money and reach beyond their capabilities.

Im trying to figure out what is Cable even doing in this movie before a X-Men movie:scust:?

Before they turn him into some old loveable but grumpy sidekick of Deadpool,we not gon get to see him go to war with the X-Men:wow:?

Fox really dont have no respect for the squad:mjcry:

Comedies that use the same formula in their sequels never perform well critic wise or BO wise.

Ex. Hangover 2, Neighbors 2, Weekend at Bernie's 2 etc.

Which is why there's few great sequels that are comedies
Not sure why you guys think Deadpool 2 would be more of the same... It's pretty impossible to make the same kind of movie (love story/rescue mission). Also... Deadpool wasn't a comedy...
