Nope not like neither. It's more akin to RE4 if I had to make a comparison. Can definitely say this leans more to the horror side of things. And the settings is just amazing. You play the the whole game aboard this space craft.

Waaaaay more tense and scary than RE4. Lol. Only thing similar to RE4 is the over the shoulder camera. But that was the comparison for the original. It's been so many games designed in that way now its not even fair to compare it anymore.

I only played RE2 Remake, and the OG Dead Space was way scarier than that from what I remember. But that was like 2008 so it could be nostalgia.

My local WalMart was sold out, so I grabbed it from Best Buy.

I enjoyed Callisto Protocol, so this is a 1-2 punch for good ass survival horror for me.

Only resident evil 1 & 2 were slightly scary and that was the original tank controlled ps1 games.

Resident evil is too campy to be considered horror.

Just played a few minutes of what was known as Chapter 1 in the original for the PS5 remake and, I'm not gonna front, I jumped a couple of times and I know the original 2008 version in and out. .

RE2 Remake is a legit horror game. No way around it. Copped it early at Target and it was the only one there. They only had 1 copy of that shyt for some reason.

Doesn’t matter, putting stuff like sub machine guns and rocket launchers make it feel too game-y and kill the atmosphere. Then you got Ada running around in high heels and a cocktail dress in the sewers lol

Stuff like that wouldn’t make sense if the game didn’t already have a high level of camp.
