I remember he would get brought up a lot in the early 2000s by alot of underground heads.
You're right though he seems to have dropped out of the conversation, a bit part is probably due to the music being hard to access for the new generation.
Pos still got it. I gotta go back and listen to that album they dropped in 2017, havent heard it.

I know De La Soul is dead was supposed to dead that daisy shyt but nah man this is the album that did it. Stakes is high is definitely a classic and if you listen to their interviews about the events leading up to releasing that album you’ll understand how and why it’s so classic. I’m so glad I own a physical copy.

Great song & album. Side note (might've told this story before) but me & my older brothers know De La's original DJ that did more than half the tracks on the first album. Real talented guy by the name of DJ Stitches aka Charlie Rock. It always makes me wonder how their career path would've went had he still been in the group
