So you have never read the Wolfman/Perez Teen Titans I take it? Because they were about as edgy as you could get. Perez had them characters buck ass naked and fukking like rabbits; they were all pissed off and emo as hell to varying degrees and the book was far more mature leaning than kiddie stuff.

And during that run it rivaled X-Men as the best comic on the stands.

We’ve had this discussion on here before breh. The number of heads who’ve read comics vs the number who only know of comic properties through tv. Damn Judas contract arc involved Tara being raped by slade. And she was a child. But hey comics are for kids

The whole doctor light being a down low rapist fiasco was pretty crazy at the time if I'm remembering correct. He was a serious threat and then got lobotomized and started jobbing for the teen titans.

Yeah that's a lot edgier, I didn't think it would actually go there because it was so blatantly telegraphed.

Damn near needed every titan alive to stop him.

The only comparison wiith Marvel is the whole ms marvel rape storyline.

Black Lightning isn't the norm for CW shows

not what your post said. I'd say the first two seasons of arrow and the first two seasons of flash look better than this as well.

Trailer has me . I never watched the popular Cartoon Network show or read the comics, so I don't have any notions about what the characters should be.

Budget wise it looks to be on the CW level, if not a step below. Some shots of Raven looked cool and the CGI with Starfire looked alright.

I don't have a problem with the gritty, mature tone if it's executed right, but the trailer didn't do the best job conveying that . Of course it's just a trailer with a bunch of scenes cut together.

Definitely didn't make me want to sign up for day one, assuming the eps will drop weekly I'll wait until all the episodes have come out and impressions dropped.

I'm still hyped for Young Justice Season 3 next year.

CW shows always have good runs, they just aren't consecutive.

Many have made this mistake, it's not Teen Titans. It's Titans, they are two separate groups.

If it was Teen Tians they would go for more family friendly.

I dont know what to think based off the trailer. Robin has a piff costume. I like the violence. I'm not sure about the other costumes.

I'm also not sure about some of the cast. I do like that DC has embraced superpowers instead of tip toeing around them.

might have to start sharing logins and splitting costs

I might just have to take AT&T up on their new unlimited plan and get TV for 30/month extra
