I figured that it was budgetary reasons for them getting rid of his character. Heatwave will likely be next on the chopping block. Wasn’t there a rumor that they were rebooting the entire team on the Waverider this season?

^^Sara and Mick will be the only remaining cast on the Waverider from Season 1, Gideon too 
I can't imagine they would get rid of Sara as she has been great as Captain since taking over from Rip.

I thought they were getting rid of Heatwave as well with the only original cast member(s) being Sara and Gideon? Of course, the Cisco leaving rumors turned out to not be truth, so I wouldn’t put it past this rumor being false as well.

I hadn't heard that one about Heatwave, only that Ray and Nora were leaving officially.
Any word on how they are writing them out of the show?
