They make it work most of the time because of his unparalleled genius.

maaaaaaanI honestly don't see why it's so difficult. Hell, I could do it.
Base it off the Death of Superman story. You start the game as fully-powered Superman. Go through the standard tutorial levels stopping a couple bank robbers or tornadoes or some shyt, then 45 mins in, you get a page from the Justice League that Doomsday is on the loose and only you can stop him. You fly to the fight and fight alongside the ENTIRE JUSTICE LEAGUE against Doomsday (game would be worth it just for this fight alone). They get wiped out, just like in the comic and you're forced to put him down alone, giving your life in the process.
After that, you play different segments of the game as all 4 of the "replacement" Supermen who appeared in the comics after his death.
They all have some of Superman's abilities, so you get the "feel" of playing as Superman but none of them are nearly as OP as he is, so you don't run into the "no credible threat" issue. As the game winds down, you learn that Superman is alive and shyt and you get to be him again for the last hour of the game or so, by which time the real threat has emerged and only the one true Superman can stop it.
Doesn't seem like it would be that hard. Of course it wouldn't be as good as the Batman games and it wouldn't be an original storyline, but I'd fukking play it if the mechanics were done right.
4 Batman games since '09
A plethora of cartoons and animated movies since the mid '00s
A live-action trilogy since '05 not to mention those fukking terrible films from the late '90s
I have had ENOUGH fukking Batman for a decade. DC has roster just as interesting as Marvel's and yet no other character can get even close to the attention Batman gets. fukking Antman from Marvel is getting a movie and we can't even get a Green Lantern sequel or fukk it, anyone who isn't Batman, Superman, or GL a movie in recent years (minus Watchmen).
I am fuming. fukk this thread.
