Did you read the story? The way that the story is written it does not say that the kid was breaking into the dude's car. The story said that the man saw the kid breaking into cars. Not that specific dude's car. Given the environment of DC it was safe to assume he had a gun. What's wrong with a black Man trying to look out for his community and his neighbors? He did community work with kids so he wasn't some heartless person.
Don't know how the laws are in DC but hopefully he can be out in 6 years or so.

in the light or have never lived in a real city before.I’ve never been a victim of a having my car stolen but I’ve been a victim of an attempted home invasion. It changed my life and it was so traumatic for my girl we had to move.
Lil boy was doing grown criminal shyt for years and then when he gets got he wants to say I’m a kid. Life doesn’t work that way,
And the most tragic part is that he was a youth counselor trying to guide kids just like Karon cause his parents chose not too.

The story is about vigilante shyt. It is the same shyt that George Zimmerman did. It was fugged up when Zimmerman did it and it was fugged up when the dumb broah did it.
Dude handled the shyt wrong and according to the story it was not even his car getting broken into. Btw that is why there are different charges for a perpetrator for breaking into an unoccupied vehicle or premises versus breaking into an occupied vehicle or premises. If somebody breaks in on you then you can send them to Jesus, but you are not allowed under the law to kill somebody because you suspected them to be breaking into vehicles in your neighborhood. What if you are wrong and he wasn't breaking in, but was just leaving flyers under the windshield wiper?

The broah in the story didn't even call 911, which is what he should have did if he saw the car burglaries that he later used as the justification for his actions.
Dude was on vigilante shyt. He saw an alleged property crime(s) and decided to deal with it, even though neither his property nor himself where in any actual danger. He wasn't being carjacked. He wasn't being strong armed robbed. He witnessed a property crime on his block.
