A lot of these kids are destined for prison/failure because of the person who raised them.Of course poverty and fatherlessness play a role, but every poor black man raised by a single mother doesn’t become a criminal. Look at YNW Melly and FBG ducks mom for example. Those women are demons, but we just look past them and say it’s because there’s no father in the home.

Definitely unfortunate for the 13 year old. Teens are doing most of the carjackings in my city and in fact I think some old man ended up shooting three. Of them for trying him. These kids know they’ll get light sentences because they’re juveniles but everybody isn’t going to ask for ID before they shoot and I don’t blame them either.
But that’s when your life is in danger. White dude heard them down the street, grabbed his gun, CONFRONTED him and shot him. If we allow that to happen then these white folks are just gonna shoot first and ask questions later, regardless if you were actually committing a crime or not. Imagine running to your car at night and getting shot because Chad wants to play neighborhood watch thinking you’re breaking into your own car. He should have just called the police

Kids ain't thinking about light sentences. They do things just to do them. They aren't thinking that far ahead.

Kids don't want to go to detention, no kids on Earth is saying, "Let's do this shyt cause I'm only gonna do 3 years in the slammer and I'm looking forward to spending my teenage years locked up with a bunch of savages and no girls".
It's been shown over and over that violent criminals DON'T think about the consequences when they act, that's the only reason they do this shyt. They either think they'll get away with it or they don't care.
The USA has literally the strongest juvenile penalties in the entire developed world, yet has the worst juvenile crime out of all of them. Perhaps more of the same isn't the solution?
They can think far ahead enough to know if they get caught they're not going to jail though.

For #2, I'm surprised what he did in DC is even legal. I'm no lawyer but I thought their gun laws were stricter than this.
I'm also peeping how we have the kids name but not the homeowner (who everyone assumes is an upstanding citizen)
The moment we resign ourselves to the notion a kid deserves to be gunned down over a car break-in is the moment we lose. And I’ve been a victim of it myself. It’s infuriating and I felt violated. But I didn’t want to fukking kill someone over it. We cannot allow for people to exact their own brand of vigilante justice. Especially as black people

I don’t want to accept kids being killed for breaking into cars but with the way this works is set up… You can’t go into situations thinking people will have them sitcoms type reactions and shyt. You get caught and it’s like
It’s crazy out here now man. Innocent people get caught in the middle of some shyt everyday, you can’t think you’re going to try to steal or break into cars and think you’ll be ok. You need to be ready for anything. I’m sorry about what happened but c’mon man.
