i appreciate what Gunn did here because i been saying for months... u cannot please every nerd out there. Even on this board u have nerds who would complain either way.

if Gunn doesn't recast Superman.. you would have people crying about how "they gotta let the Snyderverse" go etc... What some people really wanted is for Snyder to just start up again but that was never gonna happen. He has a netflix deal.. he's busy. Never an option.

Gunn is doing what all new CEOs/general managers etc.. do. They want what they are doing to be theirs.

And if Gunn produces a good Superman movie? All u nerds are gonna fall in line.

The nolan trilogy was happening the same time as the startup of the MCU and since that concluded in 2012 they've still produced a bunch of hits aside from the misses. You are being extra..

He coulda kept Cavill without doin a MoS type joint. The second half of ZSJL was a perfect tone Superman which was Zach’s intention all along.

That would not have been good.. for one reason: fans. Too many people wouldn't have accepted Henry as Superman if Snyder wasn't somewhere in the shadows pulling the strings

I get it he wants to redo shyt from scratch, but it can't be completely fresh since we saw him carryover characters in Peacemaker unless that's just a 1 and done.

And it's still not going to be a complete one universe setup as Reeves' The Batman will be in it's own universe.

But yeah, mufukkaz gotta stop using online shyt as the barometer for reality.

@Eric Brooks so how should the reboot superman be? I think it’ll be similar to homecoming he’s already superman he’s had his moment to make him not kill. I think it could be somewhat like superman returns but it has to have some good action to not be trashed like it was

Gunn said it won't be an origin story and Gunn loves the fantastical elements of these characters so i'd guess we get half space opera and half comedy..

i could see Gunn using Superman in a space opera type tone for the drama/heartfelt moments and then Clark is where we get the comedy Gunn does

I would’ve been down for a soft reboot like Gunn’s SS movie or how the MCU is handling Daredevil
