As someone who loved GOTG vol. 1 and The Suicide Squad as well as Peacemaker.. i'm good with the choice. He understands how to get the best out of lesser characters.. i'm intrigued with his Superman.

As someone who loved GOTG vol. 1 and The Suicide Squad as well as Peacemaker.. i'm good with the choice. He understands how to get the best out of lesser characters.. i'm intrigued with his Superman.
Suicide Squad didn’t make even last year
But like mentioned above these are essentially the same movies/shows with different characters.
He could try to do the same formula with Superman but that movie was basically already made in Shazam. Gunn would have to switch the style up and I don't know if he can.

Superman can absolutely be a GOTG type of film given all the fantastical/space opera elements and then the dynamic at the paper. But again.. that's the only script we know of that he's writing. There's no way he can write/direct all of the films.

I 100% have faith in Gunn. It blows my mind how people, think he will fukk it up. When he made us care about a talking tree, a racc00n, a man in a polka dot suit, and a chick who can control rats. Snyder shouldn’t never gotten controlled of the DCEU. Dude can make great fight scenes. That Batman scene in BVS, was literally some live action Arkham shyt. But dude can’t write characters for shyt. Snyder literally had one of the biggest superhero. Die in his second appearance, and nobody cared. We live in a timeline where people teared up. When Ironman a B lister, died over fukking Superman. And lol at the brehs talking about. Nobody wants a modern day reeve’s supes. When audiences loved the MCU’s Captain America.

Nobody cared he died because we know he’ll be brought back; not because of the lack of character.
I think this is DC’s last shot to get right. Six years of Snyderverse is still on people’s minds and they STILL got two movies to screen in a dead universe. That’s wild. The Flash and Aquaman 2 movies are in a dead universe. It won’t even count.

Gunn's Superman movie and whatever else coming probably won't be ready for another 2 years so it doesn't really matter what else is coming out positive or negative.
i'd expect Shazam especially to be a struggle at the B.O. now but Reeves' Batman and the Joker sequel should do well

That's just a flat out fukking lie. Outside the Martha scene, BvS biggest complaint was the confusing reason why Superman was "killed" off. We know he was coming back so it neutered any emotional connection to the material. The next time we see him is years later, in the latter half of a JL. Its like Snyder didn't want to use Superman at all, like he dislikes the character. But we know that's true, he'd practically said as much.

We not really gonna rehash the Snyder arguments again are we? There was never a possibility of Snyder returning. He's been doing netflix content for years now. Whether u enjoyed his verse or not... it's over and BEEN over..
