Aquaman: $261M
WW: $253M
SS 2016: $158M
BvS: $105M
Shazam: $74M
MoS: $42M

Well damn. If that’s accurate then yea those movies were over budget and that’s reason enough to scrap it all.

I think this is more than about money... i think gunn could have took the synderverse and streamlined it INSTEAD of erasing it and starting over... this is about EGO and control... tbh... as a writer he didnt need to destroy the previous work just build upon it, make it better...

The universe has been mostly a disappointment commercially and critically.

Why should the new guy in charge be beholden to that shaky foundation?

He wants to stick to the Snyderverse trolls to. lol They fukked up and are way more trouble that the Snyderverse is worth. Plus, Cavill is a diva, Affleck is never sure what he wants to do, Miller is a criminal and Fisher wants justice for a decade old film shoot. The actors involved are not desirable to work with except for Mamoa/Gadot. And even they aren't that big outside the franchise.

That's why you make the foundations stronger... not start from scratch... build upon the preexisting universe.. the fans was already there... but now he's starting with a new superman movie....again... people tired fam... all those connecting plotlines and easter eggs and connective tissue meant nothing. problem was the synderverse attempted to do what marvel did... the DC roadmap should have been established a long time ago... regardless of the movies outcome... at least disney saw was feige was attempting to do and let him do it.

His characters some of the best in the DCEU
Besides.....other than a 10s cameo at the end of the season. Peacemaker has no real ties to the Snyderverse.

The snyder films were all well over the 200 mill budget (cheapest being MoS at 225) i have a feeling gunn is going to do a superman story he can make for like 150/175 range.

Have them be similar to marvel where the first handful of films will not cost them much. Im not saying he is doing the perceived marvel formula, but for batch of films will probably not cost a ton.

Snyders movies were blah but I don't understand how someone could think Gunn's movies will be better.

I see he kept his wife and his mistress.

Recasting Momoa so the first thing someone can say when they see him as a new character is "That's Aquaman"
