They have put 300M+ already in both movies, also they expect to see decent returns. All the other movies they cancelled, like Batgirl they werent gonna see any money from releasing it because it was going straight to HBO Max, not theaters. So they made more money by doing a tax write off. Zaslav wouldve pumped money into it to release it in theaters if he was a good quality. Like with House Party, it was just gonna be a Max movie, but they changed it to theaters.
With Flash, it's testing really well with audiences and the main story (Barry doing time force shyt and getting other flashes to work with him) cna still be done and make movies w/o the other ppl and lowkey reboot the Universe for Gunns Universe or close out Snyder's universe.
Aquaman 1 made a billion. They not gonna write off the sequel and risk losing all that money.

All in the name of trying to do this one universe shyt. They had multiple universes for years in the media and was fine. Trying to copy the one universe for all characters shyt Marvel is doing doesn't have to be the standard. Hell, Even the MCU has shown multiple concurrent universes now.
Are they going to integrate The Batman somehow or leave that in it's own parallel universe? I'd rather them leave that version in it's own universe so we can have different stories told from different perspectives and you can still have other DC characters or different interpretations in those as well!
