Krillin let Cell become complete cuz he wanted some p*ssy:camby:

Like Vegeta didn't give him a free shot at perfection just for a chance to show up Goku?
Like Gohan didn't choose not to body cell when he had the chance, which led to Trunks and his pops getting murked?
Like Goku wasn't giving Cell senzu beans for the sake of a fair fight?

As dope as a lot of those fights were, Piccolo, Tien, and Future Trunks were the only heroes were even remotely on point during most of the Cell Saga. And even they made the mistake of blindly charging Android 17 with no plan after seeing Vegeta get manhandled.

But once DBZ started:francis::huhldup:

He handled business in the Saiyan battle. Dude caught more Saibamen bodies than Piccolo and Tien combined, and came the closest to killing Nappa out of everyone. It was all downhill for him after the Namek Saga ended though. At least he got to wife the coldest woman in the series to make up for it.

I'd say that Piccolo did more work, but I consider him to be a starter more than anything. Out of the humans, I'd say that Krillin did the most work. Most underrated member of the squad, hands-down. Tien is dope for standing up to cell, but he's spent too much of the series on King Kai's planet in the bushes or offscreen on that :sitdown: with Chaiotzu to be considered the GOAT human IMO.
