He's probably the most underappreciated artist in all of hip hop because of who his cousin is.

It’s cause Dre and lowkey Snoop shut him out. He’s one person I’ve never seen Dre work with again after a falling out. When 2001 came out and the West had a mini revival Daz was nowhere on it. And I don’t remember the last time Daz got a production placement on a Snoop album.

Daz has phases where he lashes out at people. He was calling Snoop "Snoop Knight" all last year because, according to Daz, Snoop renegged on promising him his production royalties off the Death Row albums or something.

Then Snoop walked into a random studio session that Daz was in, didn't even realize it was Daz at first, and they made up on the spot and started on the DPG album.

Snoop is more forgiving than Dre, he's made up with pretty much everybody he ever beefed with.

Even though neither Daz nor Dre ever addressed it, there was a period where Daz went extra with cosigning Pac on Daz being the genius behind Dre's DR production. My theory is that this is the reason Dre doesn't fukk with Daz.

Honestly it might have been on the Snoop gospel album, which I don't actually consider a Snoop album but Wikipedia does. Let me find out for sure.

This and Tha Eastsidaz recent albums are better than Snoop’s, so I don’t need to hear that “what do you expect 50+ year old guys to make way out their prime:unsure:??” copout statement.
Granted I only got 5 tracks in so far (maybe general consensus will be wrong and I'll enjoy the remaining tracks) but BODR was a dope album, I dont think Snoops really the problem (no ghostwriting pun intended) I didn't expect it to even drop when it was announced and I didn't expect much from it when it dropped. Now the Snoop album produced by Warren G if that actually happens I'll have high expectations of it.

On the low one of the most business savvy artists too, he was talking that your masters revert back after x amount of years talk like 8 years before I heard any other rappers talking about it. Owns multiple different business including multiple record labels, multiple different publishing deals throughout his years including one that was strictly for paying out his child support. Owns a compound in Georgia and another one in Mississippi that's being turned into a sound stage, he owns hella property, got his hands in the legal weed game, big dog breeding operation and a dozen other sources of income...shyt, Daz could live off his lawsuit settlements and winnings for ten lifetimes over.

And besides some embellishments of mostly accurate stories hes one of the realest to ever do it. He held down Death Row on his own after everyone died, dipped or went to prison, then he went at Death Row on his own for years at a time, mashed on Kurupt on wax and then was the first person to welcome him back and put some money in his pocket and gave him a whole album of vintage Daz beats, mashed on half Tha Pound in person then patched it up with them and went right back to putting money in their pockets, Lil C-Style, Bad Azz, Roscoe...shyt he beat Soopafly ass all around the swapmeet knocked his teeth out and then patched it up and put together the Soopafly album so he could get new teeth lol, and when his moms got sick he moved into the home that he bought her and took care of her until her last day - what's more gangster than that?

Oh, and the backflips, Daz 50 and fat and still doing backflips.

Daz and Big C-Style were in the middle of a label deal for Dogg Pound Records through Death Row during the recording of 2001, wasn't gonna happen lol. There was a brief time where Dre was gonna "produce" a Dogg Pound album, around the time Kurupt was recording for Equinox (which also never dropped) but it was short lived. Snoop and Daz been falling out since they were kids. I think CoolAid album was the last beat he had on a Snoop album, I forget if he did a beat on Bible Of Love.
