Stop looking at stats.he is a small shooting guard is what he is. a pg facilitates an offense. they are a floor general. look at that list and see all the dudes averaging like 10+ assists per game. there's a reason they did that and curry never has or will. it's because he is just an undersized 2 that they have to play at the one. he isn't anyone that will run your team the way pretty much everyone else on the list did or does. he doesn't belong on any top pg list period bc he isn't a great pg, he is a great player that happens to play that position. he would play the exact same way if you moved him to sg or sf.
CP3 is easily better than KiddJason Kidd can’t be lower than Nash nor Paul.
Chris Paul doesn't take over games in the half court with his scoring, so not sure what's the point of even bringing that up. CP3 gets hurt every time the moment is big. There's a reason Jason Kidd always saw more overall success than Chris. Chris Paul is the classic example of having all of the ability in the world but not making the most of it.CP3 is easily better than Kidd
I hope your reasoning isn't winning a ring past his prime on the Mavs or making two Finals in the W.O.A.T. conference in NBA history which was the early '00's East.
Kidd couldn't shoot, he couldn't take over games in the halfcourt with his scoring, he HAD to be a jack-of-all trades, and a cerebral player.
I remember that shot, but in a 20 year career that's bout all he got. That's not saying much at all. I think he got more 1st rd exits than conference finals appearances. Them nikkas was food for the West back in the day. They basically made it to the finals during a changing of the guard. I ain't even tryna all the way shyt on Stockton, but the way this nikka has been getting overrated annoys me. Stockton's play never put fear in opposing fans, let alone players, nor did it elevate his team to a status that was seemingly beyond their reach. Always a league leader in assist while leading a team to disappointing resultsAsk Rocket stans about that![]()
Yeah retard, anyone can average 10 apg if they really wanted to. It's the NBA you moron. You completely missed what I said cause you're an idiot. So I guess iverson should be on the list since he was often listed at the 1 and is better than half the guys in this discussion huhStop looking at stats.
"Bu bu but 10+ assists per game"
If he chose to monopolize the teams possessions he could easily average 10 assists. Steph is a damn good passer with + court vision and nice passing flair. His career high in assists is 8.5 per game. He is a floor general and possibly the best P&R player we have ever seen. He doesn't need to pound and dominate the ball, he can play on or off it, he can screen and run off screens, he stretches the defense damn near to half court with his shooting and has anchored some of the best offenses ever, he makes players around him better he does what a PG is supposed to do and goes well beyond it. If he played in the 80's with that pace and up and down style of play he would easily average 10 assists per game.
Don't quote me stupid fukk you don't know basketballYeah retard, anyone can average 10 apg if they really wanted to. It's the NBA you moron. You completely missed what I said cause you're an idiot. I said, if we're just doing a complete skill-for-skill analysis, Chris Paul is possibly the greatest point guard ever. But it doesn't matter what you have, it's what you do with it.
You say Jason Kidd had the be a jack-of-all trades because he had no choice, I argue back that Chris Paul (and Steve Nash) SHOULD be a statistically better player than damn near anyone in league history because of the amount of time they've dominated the rock in their careers. Paul is a better shooter than Kidd and that's where it is. Paul is a great passer, Kidd is a better one. Paul has been a great defender, Kidd is a better one. Paul is a pretty good rebounding guard, Kidd may be the greatest rebounding point guard of all-time. Paul is also maybe the GOAT ball handler, but that's not really affecting winning like that.
nikkas really forgot about the GOAT Iverson???? I know he aint win a ring bout he is pound for pound one of the PGs ever. Not even one mention of him smh yall lacking
