I enjoyed the first one. Definitely a huge improvement from that Whalberg mess of a movie, but I'm still stuck on the OG series.
It's something about the OG movie that isn't being captured in these later series.

I got the OG trilogy on blu ray for Christmas last year and I've watched all of them idk how many times. My two favorites are the OG Planet of the Apes and Escape from the Planet of the Apes. That ending in the original was

as you saw the destroyed Statue of Liberty.Then, Escape is pretty fun. I liked the sense of humor the movie had before it took the dark turn that all of the apes movies have:

A lot of the actors just has like able personalities that translated well to the screen - Roddy McDowell, Kim Hunter, Maurice Evans, Ricardo Montalban, and even Charlton Heston, who despite the fact that he went off the deep end later in life with that NRA shyt, I have respect for because he was one of the few actors fighting for Civil Rights back in the 60s'.

Does this mean that the 3rd one is going to be called "planet of the apes"? because it seems this series is leading to human society devolving and ape society evolving. Ultimately it is going to end up where they were during "Planet of the apes"
I would've recognized their sovereignty and allied with them against the cac oppressors. I'd show Caesar the movie Roots and he'd be like, "You...too?

trust me if they add there own type of twist to it there is still so much shyt we have to see @ civil war against the gorillas

Don't recall, I know in the OG series they don't really explain how the apes became so smart, there was just basically a bunch of wars, the nuke went off, apes recovered better and enslaved most of humanity

Sort of, but the aftermath is different. Between the events of Escape and Conquest, a virus outbreak kills off all of the dogs and cats in the world.
that is the best way to go...
