Yeah Koba's definitely a "bad seed", there was a scene description I read that involves his character that left me .

I also think he's going to take the role of The Gorilla from Battle of the Planet of The Apes(this seems to be a remake of that film.)

I'm actually expecting the opposite. I hope I'm wrong but I think Cesar gets it in the end protecting his kid and the sequel (if there is one afterwards) takes place years later with the child being groomed to lead/taking over.

I see Ceaser doing alotta what ever the monkey word for c00nin is in the trailer....I could see the other monkeys chanting "Koba,Koba,Koba" by the time this shyt is over and Ceasar gets half the ape population killed.
