How much can you change with Spider-man dumb ass.All games are iterative.
None of you would run into a spiderman thread and say “it’s the same gameplay from 2004”
Seems y’all good with iterative game design as long as sonys doing it

Dudes was in the Spider-man thread being all excited about features that were in the OG spider-man games back in the day.

The fact that dudes are ok with QTE based combat in 2023 is crazy to me.
But it’s a sony game so 1999 gameplay is just fine as long as it has some good movies

People are just inconsistent. No franchise or style of game is gonna get a huge overhaul between versions.

Naughty Dog games play like Naughty dog games.
If you like a style of game or a franchise you like it because of what it is.
“it plays the same” is usually a bad faith argument by people looking for a reason to criticize a game.

If/when the formula gets stale, they'll change it up (AKA The Original God Of War Series after Ascension

Making a game based on “small and shallow combat spurts” sandwiched between cutscenes and QTE laden set pieces.
Has gotten old to some people. Naughty Dog originated it and perfected it with uncharted and since then sony studios have gone OD trying to follow that formula. Square even turn FF into that style of game.
Obviously lots of people like that style of game, but for some people it’s run it’s course.
That's crazy, I know someone else that was saying the samething but a handful of people swore he was on some Stan type behavior.
