The New Orleans Pelicans are wrapping up one of the worst seasons in franchise history. That has some believing that front office leader David Griffin and head coach Willie Green could be wrapping up their tenures with the team.

Griffin took over the Pelicans front office in April of 2019. Under his leadership, New Orleans has made two playoff appearances and has had two winning seasons.

Green led the team to both of those playoff appearances and both winning seasons. However, in four years on the sidelines, Green has gone 148-179 overall.

It's unclear where Pelicans ownership, led by Gayle Benson, stands on the futures of Griffin and Green. There has been tension in the organization in recent years. That's arisen from transactions Griffin has made and some of Green's playing time decisions.

Still don't understand why the NBA doesn't shytcan stars as fast as the NFL does. Zion hasn't shown any dedication to not get traded. He doesn't love basketball and doesn't want to be there. Why keep this facade going?

1. guaranteed salaries

2. the inability to find another of what you're losing. What helped NO be able to part with Ingram was that they felt his replacement was already there in Murphy. That guy's not really available to NO unless they get Flagg. Football just offers more bites at the apple to find a big time player somewhere,

Griffin has been there long enough to know that it isn't working. He has made sone nice moves though but none that have made them consistent playoff participants since he has been there. Injuries are a part of that of course but it's past time for them to move on from him.

This lazy & outdated take on Zion. He’s showed the dedication to get back on the court & has performed at a high level.

At this point he’s just injury prone. He’s the exact opposite of LaMelo who’s also injury prone but doesn’t get the same heat.

At least Zion we know can have a positive impact on winning.

fire both.

trade Zion . trade cj...start a new.. worse team in the league next year. get a new young coach and see.

what can that net them?

PG.alvwrado
pg2. Murray
sf. Trey
pf. herb
c. Missi.. might be a fun run and gun team.. but worse in the league, depending on what Zion and cj get them
