Sound Reasoning
Didn't watch the video, but just by the screen shot, this is not his audience anyway. Whenever I see old dudes with raggedy, gray dreads, it's usually lends itself to a Hotep kinda environment.

Contrary to the conflating rhetoric that c00ns and agents like to use on here, "pro-black" people don't really like hoteps. Hoteps tend to be petty and caught up in rhetoric and words. The type of people to trip off someone using the N word sometimes instead of paying attention to the context in which it was used and for what reason. The type of people that expect you to refer to every black woman as "queen" and repeat "Ase" for the sake of it.

I've heard David Banner speak live twice. He's not the type to say "N#gga" at the end of every sentence. If anything, in my experience, he used it to make a point or drive a point home. But again, from the screen shot alone, this is not his audience. This is a group of older, Civil Rights age people who probably have done nothing and will do nothing....other than refer to black people as "brother" and "queen."

And someone mentioned Irritated Genie being the one who came at him here. If that's the case, this only confirms that this is not his audience. Irritated Genie has been referred to as a paid informant too many times to be taken seriously.

Peace

Trying to laugh it off won't make your situation any less precarious and humiliating.

You're NOT Sudanese..you're not an ethnic indigenous Sudanese. North Sudanese are Arab invaders from the middle east that started Africa's longest civil war and killed millions because Black Africans refused to bow to the evil will of Muslims. You're related to them and you're really from the middle east somewhere but African you're not..try harder next time. You can fool the c00ns and cacs here but not all of us. You being Sudanese is like me say im English cause I speak English.

:manny:He was a guest in their house. He should have respected the rules of the house.
You invite a nikka to speak but don't tell him the rules of engagement brehs. He didn't even use "nikka" in a derogatory way. He was saying we need to let go of the "nikka" mindset that CACs push on us. They heard the word and started acting like they would melt away :beli:

Here's the thing David Banner, is a good rapper but dealing with older Blacks who are in that position, there needs to be a certain level of tact you need to have. I personally have stopped using the N-word on and offline because that is not the way I would like to refer to my fellow brothers and sisters and he needed to respect their rules of engagement. I mean this is a Black Pride event.

This is what I'm saying..a lot of these rappity rap cats think hip hops scope is bigger than it actually is and assume every Black person is somehow a rap fanatic..you cant get any more ignorant of Black people than that. He lacked the street smarts and basic common sense to gauge his audience and realize these people wont be attending a rap concert anytime soon.
This is actually what the Devil wants..for the mindless rap generation to be the leader of Black culture.

:heh: how old are you, 73?

I'll cede to the point that both parties should have done their research into who they were inviting and who their audience was. The point remains, he was a guest in their house, and once he was corrected, he should have swallowed his pride, and proceeded without using the word further. If he wanted to take a stand, he could have closed out his speech, and respectfully thanked them for the invitation and left. Either way, in this sort of situation, the guest is the one that has to bend for the host. If you are a guest in someone's home and you curse. And they ask you to please not curse anymore in their house. You can't say "forget you, this is how I speak" and get upset if you are asked to leave. In this case they would have been well within their right if they would have cut his mic off and told him to bounce.

What do you mean "he should have". He did exactly that. He didn't say "fukk that I'm gone keep saying nikka". He said let's move forward and continued with his presentation. The host should have told him what buzzwords aren't tolerated in their group way before the day of the event. But he didn't and want to shame Banner by cutting him off and trying to chastise him. This type of shyt should have been discussed before the presentation.

Then look at how they titled the video and edited the words "not in my house" lol. They tried to play Bannner all in the name of YouTube views. They ain't shyt

:manny:We disagree.
Like I said, before the meeting took place both parties should have researched each other better.
During the meeting, the host will always have the final say on every aspect of what goes down.
