It amazes me that in the near 40 year cinematic history of Superman we've got Lex Luthor 5 times, General Zod 3 times, RIchard Pryor, and Nuclear Man as Superman villains, yet we still haven't got Brainiac or Darksied. :mindblown:
we all should be grateful for being spared a 70s Darksied

So yeah not an original idea. That's all I'm saying.
There are no original ideas especially not when it comes to Hollywood movies.

David Ayers description of this sounds a lot like GoTG IMO.
Suicide Squad isn't some knockoff of GOTG though. Criminals being forced to go on missions by the government is the core concept of this property and is not like GOTG at all.

:what: how is GOTG similar to SS?

Just sayin' this quote . . .

"But you do this story about struggle and isolation and people who have been sh*t on that suddenly get thrown this lifeline... that's not so bad... I like to think of this as the Comic Book Movie 2.0."

Could easily apply to GotG. Instead of a government putting them together they got together but they still eventually worked in concert with government. It's similar why we acting like it isn't?

So you're saying that GOTG ripped off SS, oh ok

It's not the first movie I've seen being made, but it might have been the most interesting one (Walked past the set of the new Alfred Molina movie yesterday too :ehh:)

I really hope it delivers, not least because it's refreshing that DC characters not named Batman or Superman are the main characters (even though it appears The Bat is all over this), but because it will make a good addition to the canon of comic books aimed at a mature audience with Deadpool also dropping next year.

Also - I take it at this point, consensus is that Scott Eastwood is playing a random soldier? :patrice:
Nah breh.......I believe he's dikk Grayson undercover:lolbron:.............and since when did suicide squad and GOTG become the same thing :skip:
