GaTa: "And you know what breaks my fukking my heart? You can't even be happy without people telling you they give a fukk about you. And Im crazy?"

Can't lie brehs, I teared up when GaTa started crying (thinking it was because he was sad he lost a friend but was still supporting them from afar) but then realized it was because he finally made it and was performing with Dave. :wow:

Fantastic finale
Felt the same way, esp having lost friends who always took and never gave. Brilliant episode.

I think it's fair to highlight his real-life efforts, like this freestyle from Sway. He's definitely a corny, "funny" white rapper but he's solid from a technical perspective

Lmao, actually rewatching this he pulled that Kareem Abdul Jabar bar into the show didn't he?

His punch lines are fire, I don’t mind people not liking his style or music but saying he sucks as a rapper is ludicrous.

great finale, i almost cried
I read spoilers so I knew what was gonna happen, but I full on cried when they hit the stage together and the beat dropped. I'm in an emotional place right now and that scene unexpectedly hit me kinda hard.

:to:

Great season, I hope they tone down the white frat boy humor as well but I'll still watch regardless for the other humor and the relationships. This show has no business having so many layers to it.

Gotta hand it to this show, the writing is hella deep and thoughtful. The kind of thoughtful artistry Kendrick brings to his albums. Its a quality program in spite of the corny white boy humor.

It feels perfectly modern and balances being absurd yet down to earth a bit more than Atlanta. The character writing is so realistic and engaging.

Clap for em.

He does but yeah I’ll finish the series.

Is this supposed to be The Shield type show cause it all so self serving? I seriously dislike the main character
The idea is that even if you hate Dave, his team is betting everything on him and they deserve the payoff just as much if not more than Dave. Dave is a means to an end in the same way he views everyone around him as a vehicle to his stardom.

I agree with comparisons to Atlanta, which I love but can get absurd with stuff like the invisible car, teddy perkins, etc. I love the uniqueness of it but Dave although it gets weird at times is still more based on reality. Every character has depth and layers. I don't mind the frat boy humor because thats part of who Dave is even though they may have went a bit overboard with Chuck episode.

But overall even though this season may not have been as humorous as the first, I thought they did a better job of making the show better overall and I thought the acting by everyone in improved as well

the main contrast between this and atlanta is that on atlanta, the main character, earn, is very unlikeable whereas dave is mostly likeable for the most part.
