Dope song but not that hit, at least it don't sound like it right away.

Very torn...

On one hand it seems a bit dry...like the energy is supposed to be something different than what was actually given. The whole idea of "Perfect" is super cheesy and passé like a R&B song from back in the day accept their execution was better. I would have thought the nikka would have been on smoke, chill & fukk type of shyt since that fits his image more.

On the other hand this guy matters right now because the females are behind him. Maybe this could be the song that finally takes him from the guy on Shaderoom to the dude with that song with Chris Brown. For all I know the ladies could take to this just because it's him and they may want to see him win It's not a bad song either...just not great. Bodak Yellow sounds like a hit...instant impact on the listener...this on the other hand doesn't grab you the same way

song is ok. too long.

the little instagram shyt they doing is going to work a treat though.

hope he picks up the baton Vado tripped and dropped (although Sinatra 2 is flames) picks it up and goes further than V did.

I'll be honest man...he's already gotten further than Vado ever did. Vado was a local deal with Cam having to hold his hand the whole way thru. I bet there are plenty of people who have no idea Dave is signed to Esco. "Large In The Streets" was nice and radio tried to support but East has a wayyy smoother flow and he has national potential due to the females being in his corner.

The label is really trying to figure out a way to get him spins with a record geared toward the women, but that ain't his lane. It may be in the future but it isn't right now. It wasn't T.I. lane either when he first came out, but he eventually figured it out. Not a big fan of the label trying to force this on his fans.

I disagree cause although Cam was holding his hand as you put it Vado at least had some bangers that ran off Nationwide. Dave East trying to get that for himself but Vado had We all up in here, Hey Muma and Speaking in tongues which if I remember was getting radio play nationwide. If not at least NY was supporting him a lot.

Maybe you heard different but there usually is no in between when it comes to national presence. For a NYC artist to break into some these other regions with a single it has to be huge and none of Vado's output could lay down that claim. Dave doesn't have the hit as of now but his name is buzzing for one reason or another more than Vado's ever was in 11. Dave is at about 1million followers and Vado has been out for years with less than 300k :merchant:. How on earth could that guy be on the national landscape? I'm from NYC and I have some ties to people in other regions and Vado's shyt wasn't ringing off at all like that outside the tri state area....Otherwise he wouldn't have been able to go missing like that without people really giving a damn. Vado got passed up by The Milly Rock, Young MA, A Boogie, Designer, Casanova & Dave East in my opinion.

They are about the same. East is more recognizable only cause he is in the social media era

On one hand can you blame them? They are investing a lot of resources and nothing East has done on his own has gained any traction

The Chris Brown feature is done tho
