The brilliance in this is that he INTENTIONALLY insulted every ethnic and protected group and gagues the audiences reaction throughout.

Starts dipping his toes into the MeToo & LGBT community jokes after warming the crowd up, repeatedly reminding you of the fact he’s going to get more offensive, and when he finally does, it’s about the trans community, and it’s cushioned in a beautiful, poignant and hilarious story and sendoff that almost brought a real nikka to a tear.
And I meant I almost got choked up for Dave at the end, witnessing both the beauty of him weaving his message together through comedy, and knowing what he’s endured and persevered through with cancel culture, with Comedy Central and moving to Africa, losing Charlie, Paul, etc…Def was not about to shed a tear for the treh
Finally got a chance to watch it and ironically the trans part was probably the best part. Dave is still good, but comedy has definitely shifted in a short time. He’s just not as absurd anymore. For example Nick Mullen, whos really pushing boundaries, but that’s not Dave’s lane anymore and I can respect that.
