It's not about proving anything, it's about giving people who pay their hard earned money a good show. Dave Chappelle became huge because of his fans.Ya'll say he should have "handled" the hecklers, but let me ask you this:
What in the hell does Dave have to prove at this point? Seriously?
If I was on stage and a bunch of drunk white boys were yelling shyt out and not letting me do my thing the way i want to do it I'd walk off too.

he's performing in front of 10,000 plus audiences. NOT in small comedy clubs. it's pretty close to impossible to deal with multiple hecklers in a crowd of 10,000 spread across an arena.
That Dane Cook clip sounds like it was recorded in front of an audience of 200, if not less.
Dave is performing in front of 10,000 - 20,000 people. How plausible is it for him to deal with multiple hecklers, spread across an arena of 10,000? While the light is shining in his face and he can barely see the unlit audience?
He handled it exactly like he should have handled it. SHUT THE fukk UP and enjoy the show or you get nothing.
I'm going to a show next week (venue capacity 20,000, show sold out). I'll be heated if some drunk white boys fukk that shyt up for me.

Yes. I'm going to see him next week. If there are hecklers and he shuts it down I'll be ok with it.
What other choice does he have? Try and scream over the idiots? This nikka is a not a circus clown or in blackface dancing for your enjoyment just because you paid him to.
Dealing with a nameless faceless heckler in a sea of thousands is a lot different than calling someone out and shaming them at a comedy club.
I've seen Dave 3 times now. Once was in Cape Cod Massachusetts at the Melody Tent. Small venue. He had a guy yelling out shyt about "Chip" from his first stand up show. The guy was demanding more "Chip" stories. Dave shut him the fukk down quickly and proceeded to talk about him (the heckler) and his masturbation habits for the next 10 minutes. He killed it.
He's completely capable of dealing with hecklers. It just gets to a certain point that it's not worth it. If he responded to one heckler another drunk white boy would have said something. Eventually he would have literally been fighting the crowd.
Sidenote: Dane Cook is a talentless hack.

Well there are ways to handle that without just shutting down and screwing over the other paying consumers who spent their hard earned money stocking shelf's or working construction to afford tickets to see him perform. You basically admit he is capable of handling the situation but he doesn't have too? I know you may be a fan bruh but come on with that celebrity coddling man. I love Dave as a comic but he screwed over lots of his fans that night and can be a premadonna. nikka has gotten the big head like a mafukka. In the thread in TLR a poster said Dave cut a set short because it was his birthday. Fans like you would be like ohhhh Dave that's fine, I bow at your presence.
