Had to delete one of my comedian friends from facebook that's close with dave a couple hours ago after he was doing some mental gymnastics sticking up for this stunt he pulled. He was at the show and was even bragging about dapping up elon backstage, but in the same breathe trying to tell people that he doesn't fukk with him. I ain't got the space for duplicitous people like that. If you're cool with someone like dave that's your business, but don't go jumping out the window to defend him no matter what he does though. Just say he's his own person and KIM.

Chapelle like Koonye is very wealthy, and this has led them on a dont-care-anymore crusade. They feel they can withstand and weather whatever criticism comes their way as their money acts as a cushion. I suspect Chris Rock shares their sentiments 
Might be rolling with Cipha Sounds and them. I feel like Cipha is funny AF and blossoming as a comedian, but he's too close/dependent on Chappelle to see what a liability he is, and how edgelord, "why is everyone so sensitive" comedy is not the wave. Yeah, that sounds like my folks too. I'm like, you can still be a good friend without having to move lockstep with each other. And just like dave, he was putting down those of us that had a problem with it too. What elon is doing is too egregious for me to overlook anyone co-signing him. This goes well beyond simply having a difference of opinion. It makes me sad seeing this tbh.

You can be critical of gay rights and still be a liberal. You can be critical of gay rights without becoming some contrarian pal for white power right figures and people. nikkas like Dave, and Kanye ain't just "not supporting LGBT stuff" they are using their influence to actually link up with, speak for, validate, and big up white supremacist activist figures.
Chappelle fans been preaching his name as this socially conscious entertainer of our generation. But between pretty much refusing to get on Trump and the entire white supremacist movement engulfing America at the time like it never happened, relying instead on some new routine of bytching about "yOu cAnT say nUFfIn No MoRe", endlessly punching down at gay rights activists and "sensitive people" like the sky is falling, basically emulating every pro-Trump cac at the time, fighting against affordable housing anywhere near his cac community and his Asian wife, bragging about being rich and unstoppable every ten minutes, now courting the most hated and most powerful right wing white power cac on the planet while clowning the people "in the cheap seats" on some "is we sick boss" pathetic shyt...and overall just not being as creatively funny as he use to be...folks are waking up to the foolishness.
After 4 years of Donald Trump and white people fukkery Black folks hyped up his return on Netflix as the return of a socially conscious entertainer who's gonna spit some truth about what's going on in America and make us die laughing at the same time. Instead this corny ass, Ninja Turtles lookin ass, Carrot Top lookin ass just wants to bytch about political correctness, the alphabet gang, and being both under threat of "cancel culture" and unstoppably rich at the same time like a disgruntled cac. Hes been showing the signs over and over that he is not at all interested in social consciousness or social issues or black people, but just being a rich entertainer now, and in fact making a pivot to a white crowd.
We held out hope that he was still the socially conscious brother who knew black comedy like anything else. But him embracing this cac of all cacs was the straw that broke the camels back breh.
The Dave we knew woulda been chilling on stage with Mooney, Charlie and a bottle of Henny roasting white folks. New Carrot Top Dave just wants to bytch about being canceled like all his new cac buddies.
He's as gone as Kanye far as I'm concerned. And as I said, it should be a rude awakening that it's been time to get on from thinking billionaire and millionaire entertainers and social media clowns are the politicsl thought leaders of our generation and get back to scholars, writers, authors, real activists,, academics, and historians.
These entertainers are clowns who just ride waves for money and enjoy the lifestyle THEY have. They ain't speaking out against shyt and in fact when white supremacy really rears its head these rich nikkas are the first to suck up, sell out, and flash their jewelry while they do it.

Dave is a comedian first and foremost. He's not an activist or a politician for you to be this heated about what he does or does not do outside of comedy.

Nah, I absolutely agree. Chappelle made it very clear from his first Netflix special that he has no interest in social consciousness, or social causes, or activism and is in fact critical of it nowadays. He never claimed to be a socially conscious thought leader of the black community or left wing politics before he is his own comedian. He thought bringing out the owner of Twitter, the richest guy in the tech industry, and a friend would be fun. But it wasn't breh. It was a betrayal to the fans who believe he is a voice for our struggle.
Still its our fault for expecting more from the guy. Its our fault for holding on to entertainers like Kanye and Chapelle as activists and conscious thought leaders and not just rich dudes with production deals and other rich friends.
