i haven't read Darth Plagueis, but i have read a shyt load of Star Wars books.
i'm in the middle of the Fate of the Jedi series right now, i've just started "Conviction".
the Republic Commando series was amazing.
Dark Nest Trilogy was meh.
New Jedi Order with the Vong War was incredible.
Thrawn Trilogy is classic.
I, Jedi was the first Star Wars novel i read.
i read the fist 2 Bane book, i need to get the 3rd.

Tales from Jabba's Palace, Tales from the Empire, and Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina are all cool. they are a bunch of short stories that flesh out tangential events in the movies. there is also Tales of the Bounty Hunters and Tales from the New Republic but i have not read those.

Those are two great books, neither touches path of destruction though
Breh, I read Darth Plageuis before I read Path of Destruction and was extremely disappointed in the latter. The story was terrible, Bane basically became 1000x more powerful than the all the Sith masters after watching one holocron. That thought bomb thing was also extremely dumb. Why did you like it so much?

Darth Plageuis is the GOAT SW book, James Luceno is their best writer easily
I haven't read anything in this thread however I googled James Luceno cause his name looked familiar and I saw that he co-authored the Robotech novel series which is a cartoon I grew up watching. The books were really good.
