Nice little build up on Maggie being Murdock's mom. Was wondering where they were going with her since the Priest could have easily played that moral support role.

I honestly thought the reveal was gonna be like the comic, but they worked it into the plot well. I genuinely thought he was somehow gonna figure it out on his own by putting the pieces together.

nah, it's kinda the other way around. Batman: Year One is a direct descendant of the Daredevil comic story/writer arc that the show is based on.
Actually more like DC threw a ton of money at Frank Miller and told him to do for Batman what he did for Daredevil.
edit: honestly nevermind. I'm only up to ep 3. No telling what you've seen that I havent.
The first 3 episodes made me feel that way actually. The way Matt was so clumsy and unrefined and the mistakes he was making reminded me alot of Batman: Year One.
But I'm glad I saw the connection.
