He should go finn balor and paint half of his entire body like a skeleton, or cut a promo where hes facing sideways so all you see is the unpainted side, then turn and face the camera and you see him half painted like Roddy Piper at wrestlemania against bad news brown, just less racist undertones

He's small but wrestles bigger than he is. When he does a suicide dive it looks like he really doesn't care about his own life
I don't think putting on weight will do much for him since his frame is so small, it wouldn't make him look more believable in a physical sense unless he put PAC-level bulk on and that would impact his entire look and speed so much. Stay lean and mean, keep the speed, but agree with everyone that the ring gear needs to change. Just do tights that look like skinny jeans. Like Graves used to wear or something.

I'm calling bullshyt on that. Darby's billed weight is obviously exaggerated. He's closer to 140 than 180. Kris Statlander is for sure bigger than him both in height and weight.

Darby is prob a legit 160/170. I was 180 in high school. Lean muscle still weighs more than fat so it presents different.
I'd be amazed if he's 155. He's billed at as 5'8" and that's wearing actual boots in the ring, so you know he's shorter than that, and he has no fat on him at all, just a lean bodyweight exercise physique. I'm 140-145 depending on water weight and look thicker than him, so I'm basing this on my own weight and height which are pretty similar to his. He's definitely not 170. Look at fighters in 170 weight class. Compare Conor to fighting at 145 and 170 and Darby is much closer to 145.

Darby's maybe an inch taller than his wife, which would put him at 5'6"or so legit. At that height, 155's about as high a weight as I can give him. The dude is tiny.
With that said, he's so different, so clearly a star, and so clearly TREATED like a star (important) that I can't understand anyone who would be against this push. Isn't this what we've been asking for from WWE for years? And the fact that they've done this while having him go like 0-3-1 in his big matches is really important. In WWE, that record would mark someone as midcard for life. In AEW, because they go out of their way to protect him when he loses (one of the Jericho losses included Allin having his hands tied behind his back midway through the match, still managing to get Jericho in position for his finish, and only losing after Hager interfered. The other involved his tag partner being laid out before the match, going one-on-two. and having the opposing team on the ropes before losing), he looks like a world-beater overwhelmed by superior odds despite his size as opposed to a loser because of it. It's going to make that major win so much sweeter when it does finally happen.
Allin being so great on his own account is one thing (who ever does his video promos before matches is a genius. Wouldn't be surprised if the ideas came from Allin himself), but this and the character they've built for Hangman Page are AEW's best booking jobs by quite a margin so far.
He's not going to be the next guy with the belt, or even one of the next three guys with the belt. But he's definitely a guy that's key to AEW's future, and they'd do well to nurture his talent carefully.
