No.. Tatum is THE sole reason why they lost.

Does Tatum receive the lion share of the blame? Absolutely. Does he receive 100%? Hell no and its Laughable to think so

The series was lost because of Turnovers and inability to control the flow of the offense. Period point black

And who does that fall on? It falls on the starting Point guard Marcus Smart. You can't give him flowers when he does something great, then spread blame on an aspect that point guards are supposed to take care off. How many times did we see this dude fail to make simple entry passes into the paint or not know how to read the opposing team's defense and pass the ball in traffic?

Ime Udoka was working overtime to coach around his foolishness. That put more pressure on Tatum to handle the ball more and initiate the offense. As the best player, it makes it 10x harder to be a primary ball handler, be dominant on the offensive end, as well as be effective defensively. Lebron has spoiled everyone to think this can be done consistently. Tatum should be off the ball. It will conserve is energy and allow him to not be predictable on offense

How many times did you see Tatum have little to no rest because Marcus Smart was in the game fumbling passes and causing the opposing team to get back in the game? The ONLY time Tatum got real rest is when Derrick White and Payton Pritchard had decent games. Not a coincidence that both Pritchard and White are the best ball handlers on the team and know how to maintain or extend a lead

The fact that Marcus Smart is that tone deaf on how they lost is beyond me

Marcus Smart couldn't be scored on all series Lol. Breh stop.. the lytics will show you Smart did what he supposed to do and shut down whoever he was guarding

You keep referencing his defense
When I'm mentioning his offense

Breh all Tatum had to do was shoot better than 37% or whatever the final stat was... He was horrendous. Smart did what he needed. He could have been better on offense but to focus on him instead of Tatum? Hell no Lol..

True. But Celtics were

1-7 in the postseason when they committed 15 turnovers or more

13-2 when they committed less than that

True and Tatum had the most turnovers for a player ever in a playoffs. :jbhmm:

Because he isn't a point guard :jbhmm:

Why is he the primary ball handler when you have a starting "point guard" Marcus Smart on the team? Why is Ime drawing up plays for Tatum as the primary ball handler instead of "starting point guard" Marcus Smart?:jbhmm:

Whether we had a primary ball handler as a PG or not Tatum would still have to create offense for others because he'd be facing doubles.
