Black Messiah is straight from J Edgar Hoover’s mouth... that’s what the FBI referred to Hampton as becoming...
You're right. I do remember hearing his son Fred Jr. say that on Sirius XMs 'The Power" a few years ago. But I still don't know about including Judas in the title. Like I just indicated in my previous post, I think we all had our share of Judas' in our lives. So we don't need to be reminded about who've been fronting in our lives. Instead, this is a time we need to be seeking out the ones focused on the truth, and uniting with them. And tbh, I would never totally trust anything coming out of Hollywood about so-called Black people. On that note, the Messiah really wasn't Black, he was an Israelite, like us. They really must have wanted us to focus on Black instead, and choosing Daniel Kaluuya kinda backs that up. He would almost make the real Fred Hampton look White, no pun intended. As a matter of fact, from what I remember, Fred Hampton was almost in the light-skinned category during this era, along with Muhammad Ali, OJ Simpson, and George Foreman, and myself. You didn't have to be half White like you do today to be considered light-skinned. I guess he was more closer to LaKeith Stanfields' complexion, who probably should have played him instead. But some of the roles Stanfield received in previous movies probably made him a better fit for the Black informant he played in this movie. In fact he looks like that sellout William O'Neil.

I enjoyed the movie thought Daniel Kaluuya did a good job as Fred, although think dude that played Tick from Love Craft Country would've bodied the role, it's still good regardless. fukked up when the government want you dead, there's no stopping it.
