None of those movies was made for people outside of America.

...and that's probably one reason the accents were HORRIBLE.

entertainment makes your society more ignorant
They won't made for African audience.

Where does this accent come from? Where in America(because I know no other english speaking country that uses this combination of words) do they speak this kind of English?

My only problem is him saying he's tired about talking about race then take the role of Fred Hampton:dahell:
These actors go through tons of interviews back to back in a single day, He probably said that in the moment because all the interviewers brought up the same questions concerning race most likely. He probably doesnt feel that way in general.

Yall will find any reason to hate I swear
Ppl aren’t allowed to critique acting now just as long as it’s a black film? A lot of ppl feel as though Daniels accent feels forced. American actors get killed for horrible British accents all the time. I don’t see why a simple criticism has to be taken as such an offense.

Word, people trying to turn this into some kinda diaspora. Good acting doesn't discriminate whether you're a black European or African American. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Jeffrey Wright are 2 of my favorite actors.
I guess folks aren’t allowed to critique British actors. We’re just supposed to accept any kinda accent from British actors and not have an opinion.

No, no, no. You can’t have an opinion. Just be a c00n because you didn’t think this was an amazing movie with Oscar worthy performances.

The neutral tone is not hard to do, see Idris Elba in the Wire. Then watch Idris trying to do any other kind of American accent :scust:

That south hybrid Chicago accent is not easy to pull off especially since it almost doesn't exist anymore. He might have done better trying to base his voice off a southern preacher
There’s no reverence for those older hybrid accents from the great migration period. I felt the same way when I watched clips of the first season of snowfall. The main actor didn’t sound like he was from LA via the great migration. But hell, a lot of American viewers don’t have reverence for these departed accents either, so we just kinda accept anything if the acting is somewhat good. The same can’t be said for American actors pulling off subpar regional British accents. Those actors get critiqued all the time.
