Triple H has since a bulk of the talent he's wanted all were apart of Battle of Los Angeles

So does that make Hunter a mark as well since he's gonna be head of the WWE table in terms of talent and production?

Absolutely, he stopped actually making characters in NXT towards the end of the "black and gold" era and just relied on signing whoever was hot on the indies/internet at the moment

:gucci: Terrible comparison. Starks got 3 segments in a row dedicated to him. There's 10 other guys you could've named that aren't being pushed but Starks who got built up to that turn last week through promos and consistently losing? Nah, I disagree.

They have kept Starks in the lower midcard for about a year longer than they should. He had an unsanctioned FTW title and a bunch of tag team matches w/ Hobbs where he would take the pinfall. His charisma and ability to cut a promo was the only thing keeping fans interested (damn sure wasn't the shytty booking of his character).

I agree he has had tv time but he hasn't been getting pushed

Clown shyt breh, these fools actually said prodigy. The only reasoning being he won a prestigious scripted tournament that other talented (And some not so much) wrestlers have won or participated in.

That's where we are now.
Breh this post got me dying I messed up on the rep button my bad

Rock was not a prodigy :mjlol:

He was so clearly inexperienced as Rocky Maivia, overpushed as "the first third generation superstar" and a "blue chipper," fans chanted that he sucks as retaliation.

bigger chants hoping he dies than Daniel Garcia gets for anything. Another night with an awful promo and no reaction :mjlol:

I'm not going to pretend the promo was good, just as I would never pretend The Rock was a prodigy.

Words, how do you use them? :mjlol:

In all honesty if rock isn't a prodigy no one is. I think you have the definition of prospect and prodigy mixed up. Kurt Angle, the rock, and Brock are the only wrestlers who were bonafied prodigies.

IMO Angle and Brock are the only prodigies given how quickly they succeeded (Kurt won the World Championship within 11 months of his debut and Brock won the world title and King of the Ring within 5 months of his debut) given they had no pro wrestling industry background before getting into the business. It took Rock a little bit to get his sea legs when he was on the main roster.

He was in Memphis in 96 and was wwe champ by the end of 98. All the while stone cold was hotter than fish grease at the time. If it wasnt for the baby face gimmick he probably woulda been a main eventer a year in.

As much as I hate how much they are pushing him I think they dropped the ball a little with him last night. He gets a win over someone people consider the best wrestler in the world and he doesn’t have a follow up match where he looks strong or a promo in front of the crowd, just doing a little backstage promo doesn’t feel like building off that “career defining” moment for him
