NBA GM'ing 101 huh?:mjlol:

"a 19 year old with maturity issues?" :picard:

Say it isnt SO!:damn:
Quick lets get him out of here before he turns 21 and its too late":hhh:

They got another guy on deck that's a much better playmaker and floor general that by all accounts has no maturity issues. Between that and Ingram having a higher ceiling D'Lo made himself expendable.

I'd have preferred to keep him, but I get the reasons why they threw him in the bushes.

yeah Ingram much better than Russell when looking at both sides of the floor

Ball and Ingram as running mates will be hard to handle

Why would they go after Westbrook when they've just traded a point guard so that they can draft a point guard?

Boogie or LeBron have to be the FA targets for the Lakers, nobody else makes sense.

Russell's knees probably scared a lot of teams.
He's knocked kneed.

Look how close his knees are together when shoots.

There's no guarantee that BK takes this contract if they don't get DLo now. They want to start the season with him as their core in the backcourt. There also no guarantee that another team won't take up that cap space and leave Lakers holding their dikk in they hand wishing they made the move earlier. It's not a league to procrastinate in. shyt changes way too fast to waste pondering. If the goal is to dump the contract and you can afford to lose a player to do it, then don't miss out on the opportunity because you once you got what you wanted, you decided "maybe I can get more".

No doubt that Brooklyn only took the Mozgov contract to get Russel...but I also don't have any doubts they would have done the same thing in October or November or whenever...because they don't have a draft pick that anybody wants...and lopez was the only player they had that anybody wants...and nobody was going to trade for lopez cause he only had 1 year left on his deal and he isn't good enough to be in that "take a one year rental chance on him" group...

I'm pretty sure the lakers didn't "get what they wanted" :mjlol:...I'm pretty sure they didn't sign Mozgov to that contract in hopes of one day they could trade it and throw a way a number 2 pick:mjlol:...I'm pretty sure if you look at a lakers free agency board you won't see Brook Lopez name on it anywhere:mjlol:... I'm pretty sure if you ask anybody with any knowledge of basketball if they would rather have three years of Russel or maybe one year of Lopez I think virtually all of them are going to go with Russell...

Once upon a time the knicks "didn't procrastinate" with melo and how that turn out for them :mjlol:...Once upon a time the Thunder "didn't procrastinate" with trading Harden how that turn out for them:mjlol:
