So i've heard some shyt about Rasputen before but just got to the part in the podcast Dan talks about where they are trying to kill him in that basement....dude was possessed or some shyt. It almost reminds of the various scenes in Pain and Gain where the three dudes try to kill the guy they kidnapped and they were just to stupid to get it right.

if that autopsy is correct that
Poisoned with cyanide, shot in the chest, back and FOREHEAD, rolled up into and tied up in a carpet and tossed into an icy river. Autopsy showed he had water in his lungs, meaning he drowned.

Check to see if the documentary about him is still on Netflix. When he started talking about the Czar I knew Rasputen was going to factor in, just for the simple fact that he had a lot of influence.

Yes, thus was is not a good as the khan one but that could just be my preference to the mongols

off topic but the marco polo series is on netflix, while its on some european saves the day type shyt, it does a really good job of fleshing out the chinese vs mongol dynamic

i liked it more as a work of fiction. I assumed that once it went on the Marco is inserted into a culture known for its warfare craft yet as an abandoned son of a silk trader he is still able to provide military advice that it was a work of fiction more than fact.

Good show though none the less.

Thats actually what got me to download these podcasts. Its an ok show but I haven't read too much into the Mongols outside of high school.

i started listening to this god thanks to a random mention on some coli thread and ive been hooked. Its all i listen too. CACS look at me in awe when i get on the elevator and they hear Dan coming out my headphones. I loved his piece on the mongols and i am wrapping up the WW1 series and HOLY shyt they went through some things
