AFRICAN AMERICAN = ADOS

Nope

The co founders of Ados said they purpose was to separate them from all who claim to be African Americans. Because there are African Americans who aren't descendent of slaves

Again if you want to get reparations got to be specific with the words and actually study the law:usure:

Right or wrong, Tariq inevitably butts heads with everyone. Who didn't see this coming.

Haven't seen recent videos from Sunday/Monday. Did he discuss his endgame with championing "FBA."

I typically see where Tariq is coming from (even if he does a bad job explaining), but this is an odd instance. He's routinely said he doesn't want to be a black leader or the face of a movement, but he's the only one pushing this FBA stuff and seemingly muddying the ADOS waters for some reason. Am I missing something? :patrice:

Above the fray.
I fully quoted your full quote. In fact, I quoted the entire paragraph. :what:

If affirmative action was only for African-Americans, how well do you think the rest of us would fare? And by us, I mean EVERY minority.

Affirmative Action is defined by the govt. is about banning discrimination based on factors other than qualifications(race, gender, religion, etc). It's defined differently by institutions and businesses.

I never beleived that a Black person who gains entrance into a selective school or gets a job offer... got there because of Affirmative Action. I never agreed with that notion, but the way these questions are framed.......one would have to beleive that to answer the question.

The policies and laws that came out of the Civil Rights era were not that "Black citizens finally get rights and protections". It was that finally people who are non straight white protestant men get rights and protections" Affirmative action was framed the same way. It was never defined by or limited to Black citizens, or in this case AAs. When people say that other groups have benefitted more from Civil Rights than AAs, they are correct. It wasn't people shoehorning their way in, it's the way the actual laws on the books and orders are written.

Again, if you tell me that anything specifically earmarked FOR AAs, should be limited to AAs..I am in complete agreement. The definition of Affirmative Action policies are not that specific in many cases.

I attend commencements every year, and I see people of AA,Caribbean and Africans background walk across the stage largely because of the support and encouragement of their familes and the value that their familes place on education. People who value education will always find a way to obtain and finance it. Whatever law or rule that changes tomorrow, isn't going to change that.

FBA is who we are, there are no leaders and it’s not a business.....

Don’t forget to purchase your FBA t-shirts and hoodies family :laff:

Why don’t you listen to our podcast and find out, but anyone who’s listened to us know he hasn’t, I’ll also say, i don’t say the ‘er nor agree with it, but as a black man, i have the right to say either or, but the true debate was, is he undercover white, and that’s the furthest from the truth he’s black
