China is wild
Their ghost cities always trip me out
I actually lived in one for 6 months. Place called Chengyang. That was an experience. I got the place for $250 a month, brand new, 1 bedroom 1 bath, it was only me and some paag down the hall on the 8th floor. That was actually pretty dope. I used to make music, had a studio and would blast music until 4am, ghost town shyt. Nobody bothered me felt like I had an entire floor to myself.
Anyways, I moved, then went back to visit one of my neighbors almost 2yrs later....and the place was packed. all floors occupied
It seems they build fast, and then the flood gets cracking 2 years later. very clever. even the quality at first was basura, but then what happens is they fix it and make it better, almost like "build quick and we'll wing it from there'' type shyt. and its working
you can't have a ghost city when the communists tear down slums and have a 2 billion population. It just takes time for the occupants to move in. that's all.
