People say it's about money and ratings, but I don't believe it for the most part.

Planet Earth got monster ratings.

We'll see how Cosmos on Fox does.

stuff like planet earth costs far more to produce than here comes honey boo boo. a failed planet earth miniseries hurts a network more than a failed run of here come honey boo boo episodes. networks have a choice that is at least very smart in the short term: the initial risk has been lowered, but they are charging the same rates or higher for their commercials. if tv shows were an investment portfolio, you would be tempted to do the same thing.

You gotta watch the sub channels like H2 for educational shyt. The main channels are fukked. Reality TV has killed cable.

The history channel has a show called the bible coming out. Goes from Genasis to Revalations. It should be interesting at worst

you aint even lyin brehs, this reality age is a plague. the only way to stop these shows from being successful is to petition & not watch them (ESPECIALLY if they're on a network thats supposed to promote education) Honey Boo Boo should be on a shiet-hole channel like FOX. I messes with Sister wives tho, don't judge me :ld:. an inside look into the lighter side polygamy is actually eye-opening.

not to mention series like Planet Earth were originally run on BBC and then ported to the US (minus tha gawd David Attenborough)
