The sources are at the bottom of the infographic. If I really was to discuss the wide range of subsidiaries Samsung owns and operates as a global corporation on a serious note, I would have structured my original post differently and used graphs, diagrams and assorted figures, not a easy to digest info-graphic.

This is a forum for casual discussion breh, there's no need to pretend this is some sort of assignment that requires Harvard references and legitimate research.

Wrong, South Korea subsidized their infant industries and gave them export subsidies just like all developed countries did. There were many chaebols before Samsung but they were allowed to fail if they didn't sell products. Read Joe Studwell's How Asia Works to see how East Asians did it. Japan did the same with Zaibatsu.
