That syndication money is still coming in though.
martin is on syndication. that money will be there for a long time.
yeah its real don't know check it is
but Marlon Wayans said
that the residual from black sitcoms
aren't that much
he also he once received a check for like $0.20
i don't know why people think all these 90's Black sitcom stars are set for life because they had a show on Fox and UPN for a few years. They were not making anything back then and did not own the shows. Even the Seinfeld cast (George, Elaine, Kramer) makes NO money from Seinfeld. Only Jerry and Larry David still making money because they owned the show. Cosby taking care of the Cosby kids was a special case. Jay Thomas who is an Emmy winner, was on Cheers, Murphy Brown and Mork & Mindy has a show on SiriusXM and once in awhile he reads his checks on the air and they are maybe 200 dollars at the most and thats maybe 4 times a year. Viacom (BET, MTV) only showing Martin because its CHEAP to show. They don't have to pay much to replay the episodes. The Martin cast is not making any money off those reruns.
This BET breh, Duane probably making a few grand an episode at most. Kevin only doing it to keep his brand alive and its easy to produce.I'm not under any delusions of D. Martin making a million dollars an episode of Husbands but as a principal not named Hart he should be pulling a 100k a year unless everything I thought I knew about tv is wrong. So them pulling less than that jointly including all their syndication is disgusting.
Its obvious that Tisha and Duane tried to keep up with everyone else in Black Hollywood waiting for that next hit that was never going to come. They probably go out with the Smiths and actually pay the check
