You can stop here. This is the issue. I walked out of multiple jobs til I found a great one growing up because I didn’t like them. I was free to do so because I didn’t have an anchor like kids holding me down. If no one would work for these warehouses and factories that treat people like shyt, they would have to raise wages. But, like you said, people have kids so they put up with it. Looks like they are finally walking the fukk off the job, and they can either force the place into action or realize you can to just as good at another job

Whether you know it or not, in America you are privileged. I've had to live on my own since I was 18 and pay all my own bills, and my parents were broke as fukk and needed money sometimes too. Couldn't just "walk off" a job, bc a lapse in income AT ALL would have a nikka stressing. Figured it out with multiple hustles but the shyt was a grind.

Be thankful you had that kinda freedom because most don't.

Can someone explain in detail how working for a regular company works?

I work in government and before that I worked in non profit. Both 24hr a day 7 days a week, short staffed and good paying, high stress, high attrition, good benefit jobs. People literally clamor for these jobs are when they get them but there's a large portion in both who end up becoming physically sick/disabled in the course of work/stress and end up playing years lasting games sometimes decades lasting games of Family sick leave/Family medical leave/sick leave, short term leave/long term leave.

Some shyt regular cats never experience like you'll work somewhere for a year then all of a sudden your co-workers will be like "Jerry is coming back Monday!" And you'll be like " who's Jerry?" "Oh he's been here 17 years, he's been gone he had xxx surgery and yadda yadda yadda, he's been out on leave..."

Its apparent they don't have a union, but I guess what are their policies on vacation, paid time off, sick leave etc......

I don't know if you know anything about US manufacturing but all these jobs pay overtime that gives people with high school education 100-200k a year. This is why they ship most manufacturers overseas because these retards don't know how good they got it.

This is how most of them work if they have a union.. $25-35hr depending on pharmaceutical or food.. unlimited overtime which means you can stay anytime you want. Overtime is usually time and a half and when they really need you they pay double.. Sunday is always double time.. People don't like being forced.. I watched people cry about making $1500 for the weekend because they wanted to go out and party. If they reduced overtime then people who like overtime complain, if you force people, then the people who are living check to check complain. It's crazy man.
