I know what OP was getting at but every team works within a cap, KD's situation was a once in a lifetime opportunity because of their cap situation. People are fine if organizations create "super teams" but not players, and again players still have to factor in the cap situation, Boston won 1 title with their "super team", Miami won 2 out of 4. What is Lillard actually accomplishing by getting his 25 a night and being an 6th seed and losing in the first round every year? What is so competitive about that? The Celtics and Lakers organizations created "super teams" in the 80s. The Celtics win the championship in 86 and get the number 2 pick that same year. Organizations win championships, Lillard can work as hard as he would like and be as "competitive" as he would like but with no additional talent he isn't winning shyt.
