it's unfortunateAll top PGs in the NBA are mediocre defenders anyway.
There's no JKidd, GP or Stockton out there. They only care about offense

the league MVP scores 45 with mostly excellent pick and roll action and unguardable three point shots and now it's "Amian Lillar" . and who thinks he is a top 5 point guard in the NBA, people were saying this?
Wall has been the best defender at the PG position according to some metrics.
Imagine him playing with a big like Aldridge and floor that is more spaced than the one he has in DC. Also, Stotts is a much much much better coach than Wittman especially his offense.
Sure, Wall is an average shooter right now, he's 41% on mid range jumpers and his 3 point shot this year is at 30% from 36% last year but he's the superior playmaker and defender to Lillard.
Wall strapped him up in DC a couple weeks ago.
People are just checking out the box scores instead of watching the games. For one, the Blazers generally have Batum guarding opposing PGs, not Lillard. Their pick and roll coverage as a team is horrendous too, which is why these PGs keep having big games against them.Could be a thread, but defense at pg is one of the most overrated topics in the NBA. There is no other position that consistently gets freed up by a screen than the point position. You see more one on one, man up defense, waaaaay more at every other position.. So while a pg can be better at pg than another due to post defense or pnr defense in general, these stats are always hella misleading

In the GS game last night, Curry was getting freed up by some great Draymond Green screens all game long and since he only needs a sliver of space, he was getting open looks all night (with or without Lillard on him).
He's not a good defender. You're only like 2 seasons behind on realizing this.
that's not true anymorehe is not the best defender and neither is curry.
Klay always guards the point guard if he is a top guard
that's not true anymore
get owned every time you play somebody halfway decent and shoot like shyt brehsYea, that was easily his biggest deficiency coming into the league and i don't think he'll improve anytime soon. I'm just glad he improved his finishing ability. PGs get lit up all the time, but these nikkas are trying to have career defining moments against my guy.
Contrary to popular belief Steph Curry has been killing it defensively this year. His metrics are elite
