Wall has been the best defender at the PG position according to some metrics.

Imagine him playing with a big like Aldridge and floor that is more spaced than the one he has in DC. Also, Stotts is a much much much better coach than Wittman especially his offense.

Sure, Wall is an average shooter right now, he's 41% on mid range jumpers and his 3 point shot this year is at 30% from 36% last year but he's the superior playmaker and defender to Lillard.

Wall strapped him up in DC a couple weeks ago.

Wall won't make them better than Spurs, GSW, or Memphis. Probably not Clips either. Especially with Matthews out.

Could be a thread, but defense at pg is one of the most overrated topics in the NBA. There is no other position that consistently gets freed up by a screen than the point position. You see more one on one, man up defense, waaaaay more at every other position.. So while a pg can be better at pg than another due to post defense or pnr defense in general, these stats are always hella misleading
People are just checking out the box scores instead of watching the games. For one, the Blazers generally have Batum guarding opposing PGs, not Lillard. Their pick and roll coverage as a team is horrendous too, which is why these PGs keep having big games against them.

In the GS game last night, Curry was getting freed up by some great Draymond Green screens all game long and since he only needs a sliver of space, he was getting open looks all night (with or without Lillard on him).

Lillard is not the best of defenders but with all the great point guards in the NBA someone will end up looking bad more often then not. But on the real though he does need to improve his defense though if he wants to take the next leap to elite status.

Yea, that was easily his biggest deficiency coming into the league and i don't think he'll improve anytime soon. I'm just glad he improved his finishing ability. PGs get lit up all the time, but these nikkas are trying to have career defining moments against my guy.:to:
get owned every time you play somebody halfway decent and shoot like shyt brehs

Contrary to popular belief Steph Curry has been killing it defensively this year. His metrics are elite

Curry has been better defensively but that's also on account that GS has multiple defenders to throw at players (Klay, Barnes, Green, Livingston, Iggy) that are all good to great defenders plus a legit defensive anchor in Bogut.
