Jay needs to use all his status and power to win the bidding on this. You know someone like Drake will try and go in with an offer for this and probably an absurd offer to just to say he owns it.

It's not his biggest asset. He still has companies and properties he owns and lives in.
This is the easiest and quickest asset he can use to cover the debt. He still has money, so he can't file for bankruptcy and make it make sense, so the smart move is to sell the shares. Thing is, if he did file bankrupt, all of this would stop. But he has too many assets to go that route now.

The lawyers are saying that they think Jay, Biggs and Dame are privately working something out behind the scenes, where they're going to pay the debt and then Dame would sign a promissory note that puts him on the hook to Jay and Biggs, but gets him away from the creditors.
Makes sense, because Jay said he doesn't want anyone other than the three of them to have the shares. So he's probably gonna step in, pick up the debt and then have Dame give him the shares and owe whatever bread.
