Not gone lie, I was looking at some of these posts a lil funny, too.. especially the men. I'm an unmarried father and there's a lot of 'spinning' going on here. Now, I do agree that in comparison to WOMEN, men find an easier time in the dating world having children than their female counterparts due to some of the notions already explained, but it's STILL difficult to acquire the type of 'high value' women that you're looking for in a female partner, simply because a young, bright, independent woman that's beautiful with the world at their feet would be foolish to SETTLE for any man with kids.. The fathers that have children that's making it seem like their babies are a meal ticket to snag a golden dove are not being totally honest. The women they're attracting possess attributes that limit their own value themselves (looks, children of their own, age 30+, insecurity due to being passed over so many times) causes them to actively chase and seek out men deemed as lesser (men with children) to increase their chances of being taken. That 'breeder' and 'security' talk is overstating a lil. Yes, women like men that's good with children, but it doesn't compare to their problems with us as men having to share our attention, time and energy between them and our seed and dealing with the child's mother knowing that deep inside THEY want to be the SOLE center of our lives.. it's just not realistic. I'm surprised that the women on this forum aren't as forthcoming towards the sentiments being discussed here concerning single fathers. We get clowned on and bashed just as much as we do single mothers. Young women don't really like kids like that fr.. this presumption that women have an affinity for children is wildly exaggerated.

@Booksnrain @HarlemHottie @bourgeoisie tall freak how do ya'll relate to single fathers when it comes to dating. Do you see the sentiments discussed here being reflected in real life (in your experience, obviously)

I wonder if the recent Cam Newton and Nick Cannon backlash is increasing the stigma of being with a man with multiple BMs.

The thing is, men with multiple baby mamas usually tend to have EVEN MORE baby mamas. Either because they have money, or plain 'ole pre-selection.

The stigma only exists for "high value" women. They won't want to a date a man with multiple baby mamas

But everyone else?

Negro I’ve shouted it from the rooftops. A man with kids ain’t appealing.

And when I mentioned my guy I made it clear he was older than me, highly educated (3 degrees), very mature, etc. And I still couldn’t really get around dealing with a teen and preteen. Plus he was DIVORCED, not a “babydaddy”.

Babydaddies have the same stigma as babymommas in certain segments of our community.

If you’re divorced we at least know you tried.

A lot of y’all are hypocrites on here.
“Kids need both parents in their lives” to
“Having kids devalues a man/woman”.
Like damn, it’s like the world wants you to be a good parent, but the same world looks down on you for having children. Disgusting :scust:

If I meet a single woman in her 30's who isn't a business owner or high in the corporate ladder I would not take them serious.

Ambition and success are the only things that make dealing with their "mileage" bearable
Interesting point

Nooooo the world wants you to choose correctly before having kids, and then make it work.

And if you’re going to leave, hitch your wagon to another person with kids
