They never were gonna hire Deion. It was just another way to keep the Cowboys while the playoffs were going on. This is just like when the Lakers were flirting with hiring Dan Hurley.

..Jimmy last coached Dallas in 1993, 32 years ago-he finally got inducted into the ring of honor Dec.30th 2023.

Jerry has flat out said the reason he bought the Dallas Cowboys was to run it and run it his way. His way has got them to be the richest sports franchise in the world, that's always going to be first and foremost with Jerry.

Doesn't matter. Jerry wouldn't even interview them. He wants a puppet. There's a reason Parcells didn't last long in Dallas.

There's also the factor of Jerry placing Jason Witten on the staff to eventually take over as head coach just like they did with Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett. What head coach worth a damn wants to deal with that?
