Damien Wilson and Anthony Hitchens are both starting LB's for the Chiefs :russ:

Both former Cowboys. Hitchens was a 4th round pick in 2014, Wilson a 4th round pick in 2015. Dallas felt like neither was a long term solution so they let both of them walk.

Then there is the turnovers.

2020 – 32nd

2019 – 26th

2018 – 18th

2017 – 18th

2016 – 19th

2015 – 32nd

2014 – 2nd

So. Because the defense can't create turnovers, or stop teams from scoring, the offense has to literally be perfect but controlling the ball for 30+ minutes, not create turnovers at all AND score TD's.

The lack of turnovers also shows why Dallas always loses tight game.

Report: Jets wanted Cowboys offensive linemen in potential deal for Jamal Adams

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, when the Cowboys called the Jets to inquire about Adams, Douglas responded by asking about the availability of Dallas’ two Pro Bowl offensive linemen – guard Zack Martin and left tackle Tyron Smith. The Cowboys declined to include either in any trade for the talented Jets safety, and the two sides couldn’t come to a deal before the trade deadline. The best Dallas offered was a first-round pick and backup cornerback Anthony Brown, according to Rapoport.

Adams is a valuable asset for the Jets, but the potential to bring in a perennial Pro Bowler on the offensive line would have been an incredible win for Douglas. The Jets offensive line has been ravaged by injury and poor play, and the veteran presence of either Martin or Smith would have done wonders for Sam Darnold and the long-term future of the Jets. Both linemen are 28, in the midst of long-term contracts and have been instrumental in the Cowboys’ recent success.

It’s an encouraging sign to see Douglas attempt to land the best talent, especially at a position of weakness like the offensive line. The Jets can’t afford to risk Darnold’s development by putting him behind a makeshift offensive line during his formative years as a quarterback.

However, Douglas’ attempt to upgrade the line may have come at the cost of upsetting Adams indefinitely. The trade talks perturbed Adams to the point where he refused to answer calls from Douglas or Adam Gase and told reporters he didn’t know about his future with the Jets. Adams felt like Douglas was shopping him, but Rapoport said the Jets actually received “double-digit phone calls” for Adams, with the Cowboys, Ravens and an unnamed third team offering the strongest trades.

While no trade occurred, this report shows Douglas is willing to put every player on the table if it can lead to long-term stability for the Jets. The deadline also showed Douglas won’t ship a player away unless he gets back the return he wants. Both are good things, and a sign the Jets may have made the right call at general manager. But there is still a lot of work to be done, and it starts with repairing the relationship with Adams.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

The Jets were begging Dallas to finesse them and they balked.

Contrast this to when Bill Parcells was with the team. Read carefully...

Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl guard Larry Allen visited the Oakland Raiders Monday and Tuesday, and is going to Detroit for a visit Thursday with hopes of facilitating a trade before the draft.

Allen's days with the Cowboys are over. Coach Bill Parcells didn't like Allen's work ethic and stamina. At times, Allen wanted to come out of games to rest and Parcells would ignore him.

The Raiders have had their eye on Allen since he played at Sonoma State. The Cowboys drafted him in the second round of the 1994 draft, and he emerged as one of the best offensive linemen of this era. Allen has been a dominating blocker and force on the Cowboys line.

At 32, Allen is looking for a new start.

Tyron Smith aint Larry Allen :mjpls:

Imagine Parcells being with with Zeke :russ: This team is too pampered.

Parcells was stubborn but he had the right attitude. This big guy took Quincy Carter and Troy hambrick To the playoffs in his first year there. That cowboys team had half the talent of this current core and made the playoffs with ease.

Holding Martin out for this next game is smart. They should hold him out several games. No rush for him to come back.

Lets just sit back and watch Dalton get terrorized and actively decay in front of our eyes.

Two top 37 picks would be nice
