This probably the most logical move forward, because I really don't like throwing away the continuity of Skywalker saga within the Universe or being stuck in a prequel series or a whole new timeline on the future.

It's better to keep pushing forward to a hopeful revitalization of the franchise. Keeping Rey... As an actor. She isn't a problem. Excellent young actress, but it's moreso the inept creative minds behind it.
